 Growing Cheekies

Growing Cheekies are fitted diapers that come in sizes small, medium, and large.  These diapers have a nice custom fit, and are more trim than one-size fitted diapers.

Growing Cheekies may be from many types of fabrics, but when stretchy fabrics are chosen (such as sherpa, terry, or hemp), they will fit your baby in a wide variety of sizes for a longer period of time.

Growing Cheekies have a snap-in soaker, which makes them quick-drying.  This soaker is interchangeable with the soakers in my other fitted diapers.  I have recently been including an extra set of snaps under the original soaker, where you may add an additional soaker for heavy-wetting times.

Growing Cheekies can be made with Touchtape, Front Snapping or Side-Snapping closures.  Fold-over laundry tabs are a must on the Touchtape diapers!  And there are crossover tabs for smaller babies.  For your baby's comfort, the elastic and snaps are all hidden.

Babies can go straight from Little Cheekies newborn diapers into a Growing Cheekies size medium.  If your babies are born larger, starting out at 9+ lbs, you may want to use size small Growing Cheekies, instead of the newborn diapers.  This is true especially if you choose a flannel or other non-stretchy fabric for your diaper.

New Stretchy Wings!

A new concept I am working on is "stretchy wings".  These are designed to be used on diapers where a flannel or cotton woven print is selected.  These fabrics do not stretch.  So I do not put the print fabric on the wings.  Instead, I select a coordinating velour and sew it securely to the outer print in place of the wings.  This allows wings that stretch!

See one in action.  The fit is great!

The size small fits babies sized 8 lbs - 15 lbs.

The size medium fits babies sized 12.5 lbs to 20+ lbs.  There are two size medium patterns--a medium short and a medium long.  The medium short is good for smaller babies, or for babies who are on the small end of the weight range (just reaching 12.5 pounds).  The medium long is better for chubby or tall babies, or for babies who are in the middle of the weight range.  If you're unsure which would fit your baby better, just ask me!

The size large fits babies sized 20 lbs to 30 lbs.
